Preparation Tips for CBSE Class 10 Term 1 Exam 2021-22
The last two years have been the worst due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This pandemic has affected almost every aspect of life by making its impact on all sectors and fields. It has not even left the education sector. The school remained closed for a longer time. Teachers, students, and everyone have to struggle to adopt the new online learning mode. It took time for everyone to get adjusted to the virtual classroom. However, students were able to manage their studies during the lockdown period.
After careful deliberation, CBSE has decided to make certain changes in the 2021-22 academic year curriculum. The board has divided the syllabus into two terms for all the classes from 9 to 12 as per the new assessment policy. The CBSE Syllabus for all the subjects has been categorized into Term 1 and Term 2. This has been done to reduce the pressure on students. As per the latest syllabus, 50% of the syllabus will be covered in Term I, and another 50% will be covered in Term II.
Effective Tips to Prepare for CBSE Class 10 Term 1 Exam
To prepare for the term 1 examination, students need to know all about the exam. Below, we have provided the information on the exam date, question paper design of the term 1 exam and tips to prepare for it.
1) CBSE Term 1 Exam to be Held in Nov-Dec 2021
As per the official notification of CBSE, the Term 1 examination will be conducted between November-December 2021. The exact dates for the conduct of the examinations will be notified soon on the CBSE site. The exam will be conducted under the supervision of the External Center Superintendents and Observers appointed by CBSE. The marks obtained in the Term 1 examination will contribute to the final overall score of students.
2) Question Paper format of Term 1 Examination
The Term 1 question paper will have Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ). These MCQs will include case-based, assertion-reasoning types of questions. The duration of the test will be 90 minutes, and it will cover only the rationalized syllabus of Term 1 (i.e. approx. 50% of the entire syllabus).
3) Preparation Tips for Class 10 Exam
From the above details, students got to know that the Term 1 exam will be based on MCQs type questions. So, students must start practising the multiple choice questions by referring to the CBSE Syllabus for Class 10 from exam term 1 exam perspective. They should solve numerous questions of varying difficulty levels. Most of the students might think that answering the MCQs will be very easy. But, this is not reality. It can be possible that some of the questions will be of easy level, but to score high marks, students need to have a strong grasp over the concepts. Without knowing the concepts, it would be difficult to pass the exam.
The board has also released the question bank for class 10 students to help them understand the types of MCQs that can be asked in the exam. Students must solve the questions bank of Maths, Science and English subjects by downloading it from the CBSE board’s website. Solving the question bank will make students thorough with the new types of questions and their difficulty level. But, they must consider these questions as sample questions only as these questions will not be asked in the exam. The exam will resemble the question pattern, not the questions.
Students will get the OMR sheet to represent their responses instead of the answer sheet. The answers will be scanned and evaluated and thereafter the marks will be uploaded by the schools on the same day. The final direction in this regard will be conveyed to schools by the Examination Unit of the Board.
